IGE Magazine becomes IGN Magazine: a single identity for information of Italian Gaming News

With the September-October issue, GN Media’s magazine celebrates its first year and changes its name to Italian Gaming News – IGN Magazine. A rebranding that brings together the magazine and the online daily ItalianGamingNews.it under a single brand. The cover story: “The Challenge of Balance,” exploring market development, sustainability, and responsible gaming.

One year after its debut, IGE Magazine changes its name and becomes Italian Gaming News (IGN Magazine).

Not a simple restyling of the masthead, but a transition that marks a new phase in GN Media’s editorial project: starting with the September-October issue, the magazine and the digital daily ItalianGamingNews.it finally share the same identity, creating a unified news brand dedicated to the Italian and international gaming industry.

The decision comes symbolically as the magazine completes its first year of publication. Twelve months during which the magazine has progressively broadened its view of the sector, complementing regulatory and market news with analysis, interviews, in-depth features, and Italian and international case histories. The previous July-August issue, for example, expanded the scope to the relationship between gaming, tourism, and the Experience Economy, confirming the commitment to observing the industry through the economic and social transformations that surround it.

IGE Magazine thus becomes IGN Magazine, but its mission remains unchanged. What changes is the way that mission is represented.

The new name Italian Gaming News creates immediate continuity between print and digital. The online daily chronicles the industry day by day, following news, regulation, markets, and key players; the magazine retains the long-form depth of in-depth analysis and dialogue. Two speeds of information that from today speak explicitly with a single voice.

The new name also allows for clearer distinction between editorial activity and GN Media’s other major project, IGE – Italian Gaming Expo & Conference, while maintaining the connection built between information, industry, institutions, and professional dialogue.

The Challenge of Balance

Accompanying the debut of IGN Magazine is an issue built around a theme that encapsulates many of the tensions running through gaming today: “The Challenge of Balance.”

Growing without losing control. Innovating without turning technology into an end in itself. Protecting the player without preventing the regulated market from evolving. These are questions facing an industry called upon to find a new synthesis between development and responsibility.

The September-October issue (available to browse online below or directly from the site’s home page) therefore looks to the major international events of the season, starting with the SBC Summit in Lisbon, a privileged vantage point on the evolution of global business, and EASG, where the focus is on responsible gaming, research, and sustainability.

Considerable space will be devoted to sustainability itself, presented not through statements of principle but through case histories and concrete operator strategies, to understand how much ESG, responsible gaming, technological innovation, and governance are truly entering industrial models.

And balance is also what Italy continues to seek on the regulatory front. The expiration of the tax delegation has left the reorganization of land-based public gaming incomplete: while the online sector now has new regulations, betting shops, gaming machines, and bingo remain without the uniform national framework awaited for years, with the persistence of territorial fragmentation and investment uncertainty.

This is therefore an issue of transition, but above all of evolution.

Because behind the new IGN Magazine logo lies a precise choice: to build around Italian Gaming News a unique and recognizable editorial identity, capable of accompanying the reader from the speed of daily news to the depth of the magazine, from Italy to international markets.

IGE Magazine turns one. Italian Gaming News – IGN Magazine begins here.

And the name change, this time, also tells the story of the project’s evolution.
