Digitain appoints Domenico Mazzola as Head of Sales, Italy

Digitain has appointed Domenico Mazzola as Head of Sales, Italy as the Group develops its presence in the Italian regulated iGaming market.

The appointment reflects Digitain’s plans to build its business in Italy, drawing on its international technology portfolio and local market expertise.

Italy is a mature and highly competitive market, where operators expect technology partners to understand both the regulatory environment and the realities of running a gaming business. Domenico will help Digitain translate its existing capabilities into a proposition suited to those requirements and develop relationships with Italian operators.

Domenico brings more than ten years of experience in iGaming technology and commercial development. He began his career as a software developer before moving into sales and senior commercial leadership. He subsequently co-founded and led an iGaming technology company as Ceo, combining firsthand product-development experience with international business development. His work has spanned products, partnerships, commercial teams and go-to-market strategies across multiple markets. He is also the founder of Andamas, which brings together his projects in technology, growth and business development.

Domenico Mazzola, Head of Sales, Italy at Digitain, said: “I started out writing software and later moved into sales, but I’ve always looked at this industry from both sides. Understanding the technology matters just as much as understanding the people and businesses using it. That combination is one of the reasons this opportunity with Digitain appealed to me. I’m looking forward to working closely with the team and with Italian operators to build partnerships that make sense for their businesses.”

Dario Jurčić, Chief Commercial Officer for Europe and Africa at Digitain, said: “Italy is an important part of Digitain’s plans in Europe, and we know that succeeding there takes more than a strong technology portfolio. Domenico has led commercial teams and built gaming technology himself, which gives him a useful perspective on what operators’ need from a provider. We’re looking forward to working together to develop our presence in the market.”
